Nature+Tech is a start-up that develops eco-responsible furniture, the Vegetotem, to improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and its consideration by occupants.

Vegetotem is based on a wet filtration process, which is a miniaturization of the process for washing industrial fumes, and the integration of plants. Plants make it possible to make concrete the problem of air quality and its solution for the occupants of buildings and, to a certain extent, for the effects of phytoremediation and the capture of certain pollutants.
Vegetotem aims:

  • A substantial reduction in indoor pollutants which makes it possible to maintain indoor air quality by limiting the use of existing means (air renewal, filters, etc.), which are costly in terms of energy and maintenance.
  • An impact on building occupants with awareness of IAQ and the provision of a tangible solution on the one hand, and the comfort and well-being provided by the presence of plants and the maintenance of humidity on the other go.
  • Reduced air treatment costs.

Initial validations have been carried out on a laboratory prototype, and a second prototype intended to be tested in real conditions is under development.
Initially, the performance of this prototype will be evaluated in the laboratory on all pollutants representative in nature and concentration. Today, the wet filtration system alone has been evaluated and presents a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) value of 0,6m3/min on microparticles.
In a second step, tests in real conditions will be carried out in collaboration in collective places. In particular, they will make it possible to assess the technical relevance and the perception/impact on the occupants.
Depending on these tests, and the adjustments identified, a commercial pre-series will be developed.
