The three major missions of SNCF Gares & Connexions

Since 1 January 2020, SNCF Gares & Connexions has been responsible for the entire station and all its equipment: platforms, underground passages, large passenger halls, footbridges, etc. All employees working on station maintenance and accessibility projects are now united within SNCF Gares & Connexions. 

Transparent and non-discriminatory public service

Provide rail transport companies with a service at the best price-quality ratio. This concerns the information of travellers, the provision of clean, safe and comfortable spaces, as well as the maintenance of public heritage.

Intermodality

Promote the complementarity of individual and collective modes of transport by giving stations access to all forms of travel: walking, cycling, car, bus, metro, tram, taxi, etc. Work closely with local authorities to redevelop forecourts and station surroundings.

Balanced development of territories

  • Ensure that our investment decisions in terms of urban planning are consistent with local policies.
  • Ensure a balanced distribution of resources and loads between the stations we manage.
  • Participate in the revitalization of station districts.
