In February 2015, the Council of Paris unanimously adopted an unprecedented plan for Air Quality, associated with an ambitious investment program in favor of non-polluting modes of transport. Since January 1, 2017, Paris has thus become the first ZCR (restricted traffic zone) in France, with progressive traffic restrictions for the most polluting vehicles.

In addition to the City's investments in favor of public transport and soft mobility, the Paris Air Quality Plan includes accompanying measures to help financially, in addition to State aid, professionals and individuals to be actors in this transition. In addition, the City of Paris is testing a number of solutions or devices and remains attentive to any innovation that improves air quality and is delighted with the launch of AIRLAB, the first innovation accelerator for air quality.
