Let's innovate for the Air of our Stations - 2A

"In 2018, the Region provided support for 5 innovative projects aimed at improving air quality in the underground spaces of public transport as part of its “Let’s change the air in Île-de-France” plan to a total amount of more than 960.000 euros.
The experiments carried out have shown that each of these technologies is effective in combating air pollution in the particular environment of underground railway enclosures, with the sometimes need to adapt them to particular constraints.
They also show that the fight against pollution in underground enclosures is more a combination of technologies, rather than one or the other in particular.
The work carried out has shown the need, for the technologies already identified, for a second phase of experimentation, on a larger scale: an entire station, a platform or an entire wagon, in real conditions, and over a long period (several month or even a year). This phase will be managed more directly by Île-de-France Mobilités which adopted, on May 25, 2022, a global plan for air quality in the stations.
In parallel and in a complementary manner, the Region's call for projects "Let's innovate for the air in our stations" is relaunched to identify and evaluate the interest of other innovative solutions."
The Addair company was selected to test its depollution solution on a line 5 platform at Belleville station.
Airparif will support the Project for the metrological evaluation part of the reduction of fine particles by the Addair depollution device.
